Il BARDAHL Evan Bros. WorldSSP Team ed Andrea Locatelli a Magny - Cours per il primo round da Campioni del Mondo 2020

Dopo aver magistralmente conquistato matematicamente il titolo di Campioni del Mondo Supersport 2020, #andrealocatelli ed il BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team sono pronti per affrontare il settimo round della stagione, in programma questo weekend sul tracciato francese di Nevers Magny – Cours. Team e pilota affronteranno il fine settimana in grande stile, esibendo nell'arco della tre giorni una carenatura celebrativa del titolo conquistato a Barcellona, realizzata con grande maestria da Fox Race Design.
Il neo Campione del Mondo 2020 Locatelli giunge in Francia con il desiderio di raggiungere nuovi successi, su una pista per lui inedita. Per Andrea infatti si tratta del debutto assoluto sul tracciato di Magny – Cours, che rappresenta una tappa fissa del calendario WorldSBK dal 2003. Locatelli ha sinora conquistato nove delle dieci gare disputate, entrando già nei libri di storia del campionato #worldssp sia per maggior numero di successi consecutivi che totali in una singola stagione, e potrebbe in Francia diventare il pilota con il maggior numero di pole position consecutive.
Per imparare rapidamente i segreti della pista transalpina Locatelli potrà fare affidamento sul team due volte Campione del Mondo, che dopo aver trionfato nel campionato piloti vuole dire la sua nella classifica riservata ai team. A due round dalla fine della stagione infatti il BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team occupa la seconda posizione, con 20 punti di ritardo rispetto alla vetta, nonostante (a differenza dei primi cinque team della classifica) schieri quest'anno un solo pilota. L'obiettivo è quello di mantenere la top three, dimostrando ancora una volta di essere uno dei team di riferimento della categoria.
Il weekend scatterà ufficialmente venerdì, con le prime due sessioni di prove libere. Sabato sarà poi la volta di FP3, Superpole e Gara 1, mentre domenica il programma si completerà con il warm up e soprattutto Gara 2. La Superpole ed entrambe le manche saranno visibili in diretta su Sky Sport MotoGP, canale 208 di Sky.

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal): "Magny – Cours è una pista molto bella ma sulla quale Andrea non ha mai corso, quindi il primo obiettivo della squadra sarà quello di aiutarlo nella conoscenza del tracciato. Il meteo sarà certamente un'incognita, ma non siamo preoccupati: dopo aver conquistato il titolo con due round d'anticipo il nostro obiettivo è quello di continuare a vincere, consapevoli del nostro valore".
Andrea Locatelli: "Abbiamo già raggiunto il nostro obiettivo primario, ma non vogliamo fermarci. Personalmente voglio continuare a maturare esperienza, e correre per la prima volta a Magny – Cours sarà certamente utile in questo senso, dato che rappresenta una pista nuova da imparare. Difficile fare previsioni sui possibili risultati, visto anche il meteo incerto, ma sono molto fiducioso. Sin da venerdì inizieremo a lavorare con lo stesso ritmo di prima, per cercare di vincere ancora".

After having masterfully mathematically conquered the title of Supersport World Champion 2020, #andrealocatelli and the BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team are ready to face the seventh round of the season, scheduled this weekend on the French track of Nevers Magny - Cours. Team and rider will face the weekend in style, displaying over the three days a fairing celebrating the title won in Barcelona, created with great skill by Fox Race Design.
The new 2020 World Champion Locatelli arrives in France with the desire to achieve new successes, on a new track for him. For Andrea, in fact, this is his absolute debut on the Magny - Cours track, which has been a regular fixture of the WorldSBK calendar since 2003. Locatelli has so far won nine of the ten races he has competed in, already entering the history books of the #worldssp championship for the highest number of consecutive and total successes in a single season, and in France could become the rider with the highest number of consecutive pole positions.
In order to quickly learn the secrets of the transalpine track Locatelli will be able to rely on the team twice World Champion, who after having triumphed in the rider's championship wants to have his say in the team classification. Two rounds from the end of the season, in fact, the BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team occupies the second position, 20 points behind the top, despite the fact that (unlike the first five teams in the ranking) only one rider is lined up this year. The aim is to maintain the top three, proving once again that it is one of the leading teams in the category.
The weekend will officially start on Friday, with the first two free practice sessions. Saturday will then be the turn of FP3, Superpole and Race 1, while Sunday the program will be completed with the warm up and especially Race 2. The Superpole and both heats will be live on Sky Sport MotoGP, Sky channel 208.

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal): "Magny - Cours is a very beautiful track but Andrea has never raced on it, so the first objective of the team will be to help him in getting to know the track. The weather will certainly be an unknown, but we are not worried: after winning the title two rounds early our goal is to continue to win, aware of our value".
Andrea Locatelli: "We have already achieved our primary objective, but we don't want to stop. Personally I want to continue to gain experience, and running for the first time at Magny - Cours will certainly be useful in this sense, as it represents a new track to learn. It is difficult to make predictions about possible results, given the uncertain weather, but I am very confident. As of Friday we will start working at the same pace as before, to try to win again".
