Long-lasting and exquisitely beautiful, just like marble, which the ancient Greeks called “shining stone”, the new Marmosmart porcelain stoneware collection by Casalgrande Padana offers a new take on the veining patterns, shine and marvellous colours typical of quarried marble, in which each tile is literally unique. The Marmosmart collection broadens the range of marble-effect ceramic surfaces by #casalgrandepadana: a selection of the finest marbles that exist in nature, characterised by deep veins, attractive contrasts of light and dark shades and intense nuances of colour bathed in light that create delightful colour effects and bright reflections, providing inspiration for new compositions on floors and for coverings.
The six different sizes – 29.5x59 cm, 59x59 cm, 59x118 cm with a thickness of 9 mm, 45x90 cm, 90x90 cm and the new large-size 90x270 cm tile with a thickness of 6 mm – all feature a rich variety of veining patterns, bringing splendidly appealing looks to every setting, in which classic style engages with contemporary projects.
The new 90x270 cm size can be used to tile entire walls without the need for cutting, while for floors, the smaller joints required for small-size tiles create a broad impact and interesting material effects, bringing an elegant, sophisticated effect to every area in the house.
Marmosmart: the top choice for a smart home
In addition to the classic installation on screed with glue, #casalgrandepadana offers an innovative dry interlocking installation system conceived specifically for indoor settings subject to light foot traffic. Each panel in the system is made up of a porcelain stoneware tile chosen from the wide #casalgrandepadana range, bonded to a polyurethane support and a perimeter edge in the same material, making for a total thickness of approx. 18.5 mm.
The range is completed with a series of 30x30 cm mosaics, composed of 5x10 cm and 2.3x2.3 cm tesserae, available in all the colours of the range and with a honed and polished surface.
The end result is a finished floor that is stable and can be walked on immediately, with 3 mm joints, grey in colour, or, on request, in the colour chosen by the customer based on the ceramic surface desired, able to guarantee water-tightness and prevent seepage and to ensure resistance to distributed and concentrated loads.
In residential renovation projects, the dry interlocking installation guarantees numerous benefits, including: the simplification of laying operations, because the ceramic tiles can be installed on top of the existing flooring, so there are no costs for removal and disposal of the same; the limited adjustments necessary to doors and to door and window frames, and the possibility to easily remove both individual tiles and the entire flooring at any time.
In addition, Casalgrande Padana’s Ars Ratio dry interlocking installation method can be used to create smart flooring, by incorporating sensors and command modules under the surface for smart management of the systems and devices in homes equipped with home automation technology; this not only reduces consumption and energy wastage, but also makes life simpler by teaming comfort with greater security, because it is able to manage heating and cooling systems, adjust lighting and switch security systems on and off.
Wiring and electrification can be carried out simply and elegantly, using variable cable ducts and junction boxes that can be installed and adjusted under the ceramic tiles.
Available in 9 different textures (Adria, Fossena, Lasa, Marquinia, Pietrasanta, Statuarietto, Tivoli, Tortora and Vagli) and 3 surface finishes that complement one another (polished, honed and natural), with a glossy, polished aesthetic or a pleasantly natural tactile sensation; the Natural R10 version is particularly resistant, making it ideal for use on floors where anti-slip properties are required.
With differently shaped streaks, iridescent surfaces in different colours and bright transparent effects, Casalgrande Padana marble-effect ceramic tiles can be used throughout the home, from the living area to the kitchen, as well as the bedrooms and bathrooms, bringing a timeless allure of elegance and sophistication to any setting.

They are manufactured with a closed-circuit production process featuring sophisticated anti-pollution equipment that allows us to recycle and recover all components and virtually eliminate emissions and dispersion: 0% harmful emissions, 100% reduction in water impact, 99.5% of waste recovered, 74% self-generated energy and 100% environmentally friendly packaging. Casalgrande Padana has also adopted an environmental management system that complies with the EMAS Regulation, in order to continuously improve our environmental performance. We have also published an environmental statement validated by the certification body.
