The METZELER riders dominated the Italian GP which took place in Spoleto. Steve Holcombe, Brad Freeman the best of EnduroGP, Loic Larrieu and Thomas Oldrati complete the podium of the premier class.
Spoleto (Italy), 25 e 27 September 2020 The second round of the FIM Enduro World Championship took place in Spoleto, and the Motoclub of Spoleto designed for the occasion three very fast and demanding special tests to be repeated for three laps.
The riders raced on slippery ground and at the limit of practicability on Sunday where it rained incessantly throughout the race.
In Enduro GP Brad Freeman and Steve Holcombe, both riders of the Team Beta Factory Enduro, shared the victories and the second places respectively in the EnduroGP class. The two British riders literally dominated and monopolized the premier class, while third place went to Thomas Oldrati (Team Honda RedMoto) and to the french rider Loic Larrieu (TM Racing Factory Team).
Perfect weekend for Thomas Oldrati (Team Honda RedMoto) who won his home GP with a double success in the E1 class. Behind him the factory TM rider Andrea Verona, in his first year among the top riders.
The two METZELER riders equipped with the METZELER MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME dominated the E1 class. METZELER rider Steve Holcombe (Beta Factory Enduro Team) was the undisputed star of the E2 class also at the Italian GP in Spoleto where he won another double. Behind the factory Beta rider, Loic Larrieu (TM Racing Factory Team) who reached the second step of the podium in the E2 class twice in the race weekend.
On the opening day of the Italian GP, an excellent third place for Dany McCanney (Team Honda RedMoto).
METZELER rider Brad Freeman won once again on both days of competition in the E3 class and currently the English rider is the leader with full points.
In the Junior1 class Rony Kytonen (Team Honda RedMoto) took first place on Day One while on the following day he finished second. METZELER celebrates double success also in Youth for Jed Etchells (Fantic Darpa Racing Team) and third position on Sunday of the Italian GP for Harry Edmondson (Fantic Jet Racing).
The FIM EnduroGP World Championship will now stop for a few weeks and will resume in November with a double appointment on Portuguese soil.
