Kawasaki Puccetti Racing – Primo tempo per Mahias e terzo per Oettl nelle prove libere di Barcellona

Sesto round del campionato mondiale Supersport per il #kawasakipuccettiracing sulla pista di #barcellona. Cielo nuvoloso ma temperature alte questa mattina, per il primo turno di prove libere che si è concluso in modo molto positivo per i due piloti della squadra di Manuel Puccetti: primo posto per #lucasmahias (1'45"682) e terzo per il suo compagno di squadra #philippoettl (1'45"913).
La sessione del pomeriggio è stata purtroppo resa difficile dalle condizioni della pista che a causa della pioggia caduta in precedenza si presentava ancora in parte bagnata. Nonostante queste condizioni difficili, Mahias ha confermato di trovarsi a proprio agio sul tracciato spagnolo, e con il tempo di 1'48"344 ha ottenuto la seconda posizione. Decimo tempo per Oettl (1'49"953).
Grazie al suo best lap di questa mattina il pilota francese ha chiuso al primo posto la classifica cumulativa delle due sessioni odierne, mentre Oettl ha ottenuto un brillante terzo posto, a soli due decimi dal compagno di squadra.
Domani mattina Mahias e Oettl saranno impegnato nell'ultimo turno di prove libere e a seguire disputeranno la Superpole e la decima gara del campionato

"E' stata la miglior giornata di prove di questa stagione. Questa mattina, su di una pista dove non correvo dal 2012, ho fatto segnare il miglior tempo sul giro. Mi sono trovato subito molto bene con la #moto e con la pista, e tutto è andato nel verso giusto. Nel pomeriggio inizialmente ho trovato un buon feeling quando la pista era bagnata, ma poi si è andata asciugando e in quelle condizioni non aveva molto senso girare. Mi sono limitato a fare qualche giro, cercando di non commettere errori. Per domani dobbiamo vedere in quali condizioni sarà la pista, anche se posso dire di sentirmi pronto sia per l'asciutto che per il bagnato. Ringrazio la squadra che ha fatto un ottimo lavoro ".

"Sono soddisfatto del primo turno, disputato su pista asciutta, mentre il secondo è stato quasi del tutto inutile, con la pista che non era completamente asciutta. Il set up di questa mattina si è rivelato molto buono e per domani spero che la pista sia asciutta, perché nelle FP3 vorrei testare la nuova gomma morbida che Pirelli ha portato per questo round e comprendere meglio il comportamento della nostra #moto alla distanza. Grazie al mio team che mi ha aiutato molto anche oggi".
Kawasaki Puccetti #racing – Mahias first and Oettl third in free practice at Barcelona
Kawasaki Puccetti #racing is taking part in the sixth round of the Supersport world championship at the Barcelona track. This morning brought cloudy skies but high temperatures for the first free practice, which proved very positive for both the team's riders, as #lucasmahias finished first (1'45"682), his team-mate #philippoettl third (1'45"913).
The afternoon's session was complicated by the track conditions, with heavy rain falling prior to the practice. Despite the difficult conditions, Mahias proved at ease on the Spanish track, finishing second with a time of 1'48"344. Oettl closed in tenth place (1'49"953).
Thanks to his best time of the morning, the French rider took first place in the day's overall standings, while Oettl finished a strong third, just two tenths behind his team-mate.
Tomorrow morning, Mahias and Oettl will be back out for the final free practice which will be followed by the Superpole and the tenth race of the championship.

"This was our best practice day so far this season. This morning, at a track I've not raced at since 2012, I set the best lap time. I immediately felt good on the bike and the track, and everything went well. In the afternoon, I initially had good feeling while the track was wet, but then it began to dry and there wasn't much point riding in those conditions. I only did a few laps, trying not to make any mistakes. For tomorrow, we need to see what the track's like, but I feel prepared whether conditions are wet or dry. Big thanks to my team for their great work."
Oettl
"I'm pleased with how the first session went, on a dry track, while the second was fairly useless, with a track that wasn't completely dry. This morning's set-up worked well and I hope the track's dry tomorrow, because I'd like to use FP3 to test the new soft tyre Pirelli has brought for this round and better understand the behaviour of our bike over a long distance. Thanks to my team for all their help again today."
