Il BARDAHL Evan Bros. WorldSSP Team ed Andrea Locatelli sbarcano a Barcellona per inseguire "il sogno"

E' tempo di tornare in azione per il BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team ed #andrealocatelli, per il sesto appuntamento del campionato #worldssp 2020, in programma questo fine settimana sul tracciato di #barcellona. Per il team campione del mondo in carica si tratta del debutto assoluto al Montmelò, entrato nel calendario WorldSBK in questa stagione.
Discorso diverso invece per #andrealocatelli, che ha potuto conoscere il circuito catalano durante la sua permanenza in Moto2 e Moto3, ottenendo come miglior risultato una 11° piazza nel 2018. Dal suo ingresso nel mondiale Supersport Andrea ha sbaragliato la concorrenza ottenendo nove vittorie su nove gare disputate, diventando il pilota con il maggior numero di successi in una sola stagione nella storia della categoria, e proprio al Montmelò avrà la prima occasione per conquistare matematicamente il titolo di campione del mondo.
Locatelli arriva all'ultimo fine settimana in terra spagnola dell'anno con 79 punti di vantaggio su Jules Cluzel, assente in questo round causa infortunio, e 106 su Lucas Mahias. Per essere incoronato campione al termine del round catalano, Andrea deve concludere Gara 2 con almeno 100 punti di vantaggio sul futuro secondo in classifica generale.
Team e pilota sono pronti per iniziare questo importante ed intrigante weekend, a partire dalle due sessioni di prove libere in programma nella mattinata e nel pomeriggio di venerdì. Sabato sarà poi il momento delle FP3, ma soprattutto di Superpole e Gara 1, mentre domenica il programma giungerà a completamento con il warm up del mattino e Gara 2. La Superpole e le due gare saranno trasmesse live sul canale 205 della piattaforma Sky.
Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal): "Questo weekend scenderemo in pista a #barcellona per la prima volta, il che ci rende impazienti di iniziare a lavorare e di scoprire il tracciato, nella speranza che il meteo sia migliore rispetto alle attuali previsioni. Vogliamo proseguire il trend super positivo dei primi cinque round e cercare di cogliere un determinato risultato, consapevoli del grande valore sia del pilota che del team".
Andrea Locatelli: "Siamo solo al terz'ultimo round della stagione, ma dopo gli ultimi avvenimenti abbiamo una prima opportunità di raggiungere il nostro obiettivo finale. #barcellona è una pista che mi piace e che conosco, quindi posso partire da una buona base. Per il team rappresenta una novità correre su questo tracciato, ma sono sicuro che grazie al loro solito ottimo lavoro riusciremo ad essere competitivi sin da subito. Sono fiducioso e carico, vogliamo ottenere il massimo e rendere questo weekend il più dolce possibile".

BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team and #andrealocatelli land in Barcelona to pursue "the dream"
It's time to get back in action for the BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team and #andrealocatelli, for the sixth round of the #worldssp 2020 championship, scheduled this weekend on the Barcelona track. For the reigning world champion team this is the absolute debut at Montmelò, which entered the WorldSBK calendar this season.
Different situation on the other hand for #andrealocatelli, as he was able to get to know the Catalan circuit during his time in Moto2 and Moto3, obtaining an 11th place in 2018 as his best result. Since his entry into the World Supersport Championship Andrea has beaten the competition with nine wins out of nine races he has competed in, becoming the rider with the most successes in a single season in the history of the category, and at Montmelò he will have the first chance to mathematically conquer the World Champion title.
Locatelli arrives at the last weekend on Spanish soil of the year with 79 points ahead of Jules Cluzel, absent in this round due to injury, and 106 ahead of Lucas Mahias. To be crowned champion at the end of the Catalan round, Andrea must finish Race 2 with at least 100 points ahead of the future second in the overall standings.
Team and rider are ready to start this important and intriguing weekend, starting from the two free practice sessions scheduled in the morning and in the afternoon on Friday. Saturday will then be the time for FP3, but especially for Superpole and Race 1, while Sunday the program will be completed with the morning warm up and Race 2. The Superpole and the two races will be live on channel 205 of the Sky platform.
Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal): "This weekend we will be on track in Barcelona for the first time, which makes us look forward to starting work and discovering the track, in the hope that the weather will be better than the current forecast. We want to continue the super positive trend of the first five rounds and try to catch a certain result, aware of the great value of both the rider and the team".
Andrea Locatelli: "We are only at the third last round of the season, but after the last events we have a first opportunity to reach our final goal. Barcelona is a track that I like and that I know, so I can start from a good base. It's new for the team to race on this track, but I'm sure that thanks to their usual good work we will be able to be competitive right away. I'm confident, we want to get the most out of it and make this weekend as sweet as possible".
