PIANCA | Inari family designed Philippe Tabet

Clean, sinuous, robust style.

The #design work created by Philippe Tabet for #pianca to date has explored the theme of symmetry and lightness, through sinuous and pared-back forms. There is great emphasis on the tactile dimension in all of his designs, and the choice of materials is an important step in the definition of each #design.

This same approach provided the concept for the Inari series, available in two versions of a table and chair: a square or rectangular table and a chair with or without armrests. #philippetabet found inspiration in the famous Fushimi Inari shrine in Kyōto, because of the simplicity and harmony of its architectural features, which inspired clean, elementary lines.

Smooth profiles, with no sharp edges, are the key feature of the Inari family. Solid wood defines structures that are robust, yet visually light and smooth to the touch, the product of expert milling and turning. All of the joints are designed and crafted for continuity and harmonious flowing connection between parts.

Philippe Tabet

He graduated in 2009 in Industrial #design from ècole de Condé Lyon, start right now to work for BETC #design in Paris, to Odoardo Fioravanti and Fattorini-Rizzini_Partners Milan. In 2013 he created his own studio in Milan and worked with brands such as Miniforms, XSries and Incipit.
