“Cars & Coffee” at the Mercedes-Benz Museum is back!
- From 14 June to 13 September 2020, every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Museum mound
- Classic cars and well-preserved modern classics of all brands are welcome
- Meeting enthusiasts with the same interests and talking shop about the vehicles is the aim
“Cars & Coffee”, the meet for classic cars of all makes at the #mercedesbenzmuseum, is open to the public again. Next Sunday, 14 June 2020, the event will be starting up again on the large museum forecourt. This popular, casual event is a permanent feature every year in the motoring summer season. Whether the cars sport the Mercedes star or not, the aim of this event is to drive up in a classic car, meet like-minded individuals and talk shop about the cars on display. The only condition is that the vehicle brought to the event must be at least 20 years old.
A warm welcome is also extended to all visitors without a classic car who simply want to enjoy the scenery and strike up a conversation with vehicle owners. Further information on “Cars & Coffee” can be found at the following link: http://mb4.me/cars-and-coffee. Due to current distancing and hygiene regulations, the number of parking spaces is limited.
Coffee, other drinks and snacks are, of course, available. “Cars & Coffee” is held every weekend in the summer until 13 September 2020 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“Cars & Coffee” is a lucky exception: since it is relatively easy to comply with the current distancing and hygiene rules, this popular event is able to take place despite the Corona pandemic. Unfortunately, this is not the case for other events planned by the #mercedesbenzmuseum for 2020. The concerts by the International Bach Academy, which were scheduled for June, have had to be cancelled. The #mercedesbenz Concert Summer with the large-format open-air stage cannot be held on the second weekend in July either – however, it has already been decided that the performances by Álvaro Soler and Sido will take place at the next Summer Concert event in July 2021, and all the tickets already sold for this year will remain valid for that event (more information: https://www.mercedes-benz.com/de/classic/museum/konzertsommer/). “Salsa under the stars” and the open-air cinema will also not be hosted by the museum this year.
Perhaps all the more reason to simply turn up at “Cars & Coffee” on a Sunday? The event is always popular with its relaxed atmosphere – and with the classic cars, old and new, on the Museum mound.
