History
Born of mixture between sailing and paragliding, the AK-650 was created on an idea of Marc DENOIX during cruise on sailboat with paragliders crew. The company #ArmorKite was created at the end of 2014 and the first AK-650 was launched in summer 2016 with a first 18 sqm Kite of. The prototype version showed immediate effectiveness in navigation. From 2016 to 2019 the team has been working in research and development on the boat's fittings, the wings (currently 25sqm), the steering of the boat and the daggerboards. Today #ArmorKite presents a fully operational ship.
AK-650
The AK-650 is a 6.50 meter long boat weight of 273 KG suitable for 2 to 6 people.
Made of glass fiber / epoxy resin. Two boat designs exist: one sporting boat with two asymetrical daggerboards including 2 berths and another one with a pivoting centreboard and 4 berths. Both versions are available.
Towed by an inflatable kite wing from 8 to 25 sqm, the AK-650 can reach speed of 17 knots and more, with real speed acceleration and sliding on the waves sensations. The AK-650 offers a navigation comfort for families and its sailing is also dedicated to sportive clients. With the AK-650, light and keelless, you can sail everywhere and ride the boat to the beach.
