SEAT is once again expanding its vehicle offering, helping grow its position in the market and increase the options open to consumers with the introduction of the front-wheel drive #tarraco #suv combined with its advanced DSG automatic transmission.
Until now SEAT’s largest #suv has only been available either in front-wheel drive guise when mated to a manual gearbox, or in 4Drive all-wheel drive guise when mated to a DSG automatic transmission, but the introduction of the 1.5 TSI 150PS DSG Front-wheel drive changes that. The vehicle will help shake up the market, spreading the Tarraco’s appeal to fleets and markets where 4Drive all-wheel drive technology isn’t as critical.
The new front-wheel drive #tarraco combines a 1.5 litre four-cylinder petrol engine with a maximum power output of 150PS between 5,000 and 6,000rpm and maximum torque of 250Nm between 1,500 and 3,500rpm. Combined with the advanced seven-speed DSG automatic transmisison, the #tarraco can reach 100km/h in just 9.5 seconds and has a top speed of 198km/h.
With CO2 emissions of 160-181 g/km based on the WLTP test cycle and fuel consumption of 7.1-8.0 litres/100km, the big brother in SEAT’s #suv line-up becomes an even more competitive option, without compromising any of its dynamic ability.
With both Style and Xcellence trim levels available initially, and five- and seven-seat options open, customers can match the performance, practicality and style attributes they need to meet their lifestyle.
The #tarraco, developed at SEAT’s Martorell facilities and produced in Wolfsburg, has contributed to the brand’s increased worldwide presence, and the family continues to grow. The introduction of this front-wheel drive, DSG model, will be followed by the introduction of an FR trim early next year and the launch of a plug-in hybrid variant in the second half of 2020.
