Krummenacher sixth and Caricasulo eighth in World SS Superpole at San Jua

Team Bardahl Evan Bros. have completed day two of practice and Superbike making uo the eleventh and penultimate round of the Supersport world championship at the San Juan Villicum circuit in #argentina. #federicocaricasulo and #randykrummenacher, competing for Fabio Evangelista's team, took part in yesterday's practice sessions on a track that was dirty with sand, meaning that they couldn't express their full potential. Caricasulo nevertheless finished second, followed by #randykrummenacher in third.
For this morning's third and final practice, the track had been cleaned and so riders were able to improve on yesterday's times. With a best of 1'43"539, Caricasulo finished first overall, while Krummenacher closed in sixth place with a 1'44"171.
The eleventh Superpole of the season took place early afternoon in temperatures of over 33°C. The heat made for a track that was even more slippery, as well as dirty with fresh sand blown by the wind. Without risking a crash, Krummenacher set a fastest time of 1'46"268 to finishs sixth. Caricasulo's best time was a 1'46"917 that positioned him eighth.
Thanks to today's results, Krummenacher will line up on the second row of the grid and Caricasulo from the third for tomorrow's 19-lap race.

Combined free practice results: 1) Caricasulo (Yamaha) – 2) Cluzel (Yamaha) - 3) Perolari (Yamaha) – 4) De Rosa (MV Agusta) – 5) Mahias (Kawasaki) – 6) Krummenacher (Yamaha)
Superpole: 1) Perolari (Yamaha) – 2) Badovini (Kawasaki) – 3) Cluzel (Yamaha) – 4) Smith (Kawasaki) – 5) Mahias (Kawasaki) – 6) Krummenacher (Yamaha) – 7) Vinales (Yamaha) – 8) Caricasulo (Yamaha)

Randy Krummenacher: "A good day. I finished sixth in Superbike and that's a positive result ahead of tomorrow's race, considering I'll be on the second row. We need to work during warm-up to improve the bike setting for this track, which is very slippery, but it's the same for everyone and so I'm not particularly worried. We're ready, and intent on running a good race".
Federico Caricasulo: "Today was a bit of a strange day. This morning, on a farily clean track, we went well and the bike was good. In Superpole, the track was dirty and the heat reduced the grip even further. We weren't fast because we used the bike with the same setting as the morning while we should have changed something. Anyway, no problem because I'll be starting eighth, on the third row, and if I can start well, nothing is compromised. Thanks to their team for all they've done for me today."
