CCN marks triple award success, winning at the World Yachts Trophies for the third consecutive year

Cannes, 16 September 2019 – Motor #yacht Vanadis, the fourth model in CCN’s Fuoriserie line, is the winner of the “Green Yachts” category at the World Yachts Trophies 2019.

The awarding ceremony was hosted by magazine Yachts France, Saturday 14 September, against the breathtaking setting of the beach in front of Hotel Carlton in Cannes. CCN’s 31 m fully-custom #yacht was chosen for her cutting-edge technological solutions and her great focus on environmental friendliness and efficiency: indeed, M/Y Vanadis is the first model in CCN’s E-prop line of hybrid propulsion vessels, as well as the first Made-in-Italy motor #yacht to obtain the Lloyd’s Register’s certification as a “Hybrid Power” craft.

“Thanks to our cooperation with the Lloyd’s Register and with a number of highly qualified, high-reliability companies – comments CCN’s CEO #diegomicheledeprati – we were able to design and build a #yacht that is truly one in her kind and that sets a new course for our Shipyard”.

Pencilled by design firm Studio Guido De Groot, M/Y Vanadis offers the opportunity to cruise in diesel, diesel electric or full electric mode, ensuring maximum comfort and zero emissions. The #yacht is equipped with 2 Schottel STP 150 FP twin-propeller azimuth thrusters driven by a Siemens hybrid system which includes both traditional diesel engines and electric engines supplied by generators or batteries. This configuration allows for low-consumption cruising and guarantees a limited environmental impact, as well as increased onboard comfort thanks to reduced noise and vibrations, both at anchor and when cruising.

The craft is also fitted with a set of high-energy lithium-ion batteries supplying most onboard utilities, allowing to remain at anchor at zero emissions for up to 17 consecutive hours and to cruise at limited speed for 180 minutes with the power load needed to ensure high onboard comfort.

“This award – concludes Mr Deprati – fills us with pride and confirms we have embarked upon the right path, aware that we can successfully meet the needs of an international clientele thanks to state-of-the-art, world class yachts”.
