At the GP in Greece, Steve Holcombe and Thomas Oldrati take the second place on the podium in the EnduroGP

The METZELER riders achieve a significant number of successes at the GP in Serres, Greece. Steve Holcombe is still fighting for the final title of the EnduroGP and the E3 Class. Positive trials for the riders of Team Honda RedMoto and the TM Racing Factory Team

Serres (Greece), 16 June 2019 - The town of Serres played host to the fourth round of the FIM Enduro World Championship and the Auto Moto Club Serres managed to organise the event in just a few months, following the cancellation of the GP in Corsica. The riders competed on mixed terrains: mud, streams, stones, rocks, sand and hard surfaces. Despite the high temperatures, almost all the METZELER riders managed to win or take a place on the podium.

In the EnduroGP, the reigning Champion Steve Holcombe (Team Beta Factory Enduro) picked up an excellent second place on the opening day, a feat which however was not repeated the following day. On Day 2, an impressive Thomas Oldrati (Team Honda RedMoto) picked up an excellent second place.

Thomas Oldrati (Team Honda RedMoto), competing with METZELER MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME tyres, gained a third place on Day 1 and an excellent second place on Day 2, now just a step away from the final victory in the E1 Class.

Three victories on Day 1 for METZELER.  Giacomo Redondi (Team Zanardo) won the E2 class, the official rider Loic Larrieu (TM Racing Factory Team) gained second place and there was the first podium of the season for Benjamin Herrera (Team Beta Factory Enduro). On Day 2 it was the turn of Christophe Charlier (Team Honda RedMoto) who won the E2 Class, with Loic Larrieu coming second. Alex Salvini (S2 Motorsport Honda RedMoto Sembenini Team) is holding his position at the head of the provisional class rankings.

The METZELER supported riders Steve Holcombe and Danny McCanney dominated the E3 Class. The two English riders shared the daily victories and the second-place ranking.

It was also an excellent weekend of racing for the rider from the TM Racing Factory Team Andrea Verona who, equipped with METZELER MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME tyres, won on Day 1 and picked up the third place the next day.

The FIM EnduroGP World Championship continues, and next weekend the racing will take place in Rovetta for the highly anticipated Italian GP.
