Caricasulo wins the World SSP race at Jerez ahead of Krummenacher

Team Bardahl Evan Bros. has concluded round six of the Supersport world championship at the #jerez de la Frontera track dedicated to Angel Nieto. During yesterday's Superpole, which served to establish the grid positions for today's race, #federicocaricasulo was able to secure pole position, immediately ahead of his team-mate #randykrummenacher

Later that evening though, Race Direction convened and decided to penalize certain riders who, in their opinion, had failed to slow down under the yellow flag, which came out after rider Danilo suffered a crash. Maintaining that Caricasulo was one of these riders, his fast lap, a 1'41"586 that was in fact a new fastest lap time at the #jerez track, was effectively cancelled.

This meant that the pole was handed to his team-mate #randykrummenacher, who had set a 1'41"775 that now becomes the new fastest lap. Caricasulo, who also completed a lap in 1'41"965, was demoted to second place.

Although not in agreement, the Bardahl Evan Bros. team of course respects the decision of Race Direction and accepted Caricasulo's penalty.
