MV Agusta Reparto Corse – De Rosa is fourth in Superpole at Jerez

Sixth round of the Supersport world championship for MV Agusta Reparto Corse at the Angel Nieto circuit of Jerez de la Frontera, in Spain.

Yesterday, the Italian team's riders, #raffaelederosa and #federicofuligni, took part in the two free practice sessions with the aim of adapting their MV Agusta #f3675 machines to the Andalusian track. De Rosa (1'43"136) finished in fourth place, while Fuligni (1'45"053) closed sixteenth.

This morning, in sunny conditions, both were back on track for the third and final practice, in preparation for the afternoon's Superpole. De Rosa rode only with used tyres to better understand some changes made to his bike and therefore couldn't improve on his best time, finishing in eighth place. Fuligni (1'44"367) improved on yesterday's best time but retained sixteenth place.

In Superpole De Rosa did well to push hard on a track that was slippery due to the heat. Raffaele was able to exploit the fresh tyres, improving on his quickest time in practice to set a best of 1'42"502 and finish fourth, which means a second-row race start.

The Superpole of Fuligni proved more complicated, the rider's fastest time, a 1'44"002, seeing him close in sixteenth place. So the sixth row for him in tomorrow's race, which will take place over a distance of 19-laps.
