Experimentation and aesthetic eclecticism informed by insights into the ancient textile arts: Sans Tabù weaves future fashions for the home.

At a time when the home textiles arena seemed to have settled in its ways, along comes a brand whose name announces its intentions: Sans Tabù, or, boundless fields of unrestricted creativity

Which explains why Luisa Bezzi, the brand’s creative guru, loves to #design and collaborate on her collections of accessories for the home – bed, table and bath linens, and complementary wovens – with an impressive line-up of international designers. The likes of Mark Harfield, Michelle Jarvis, and Marco Zanuso Jr., ready and willing to try their hands at bringing the languages of graphics, art and architecture to life on fabric.  The designs, made up of colors and curiosities deliberately and freely inspired from one collection to another, are never an end unto themselves but, instead, exalted by Italian fibers and craftsmanship – from Le Marche to Northern Italy, where fabric-making is a true art – and by an array of suppliers with a variegated background in the world of fashion. Satin, cotton percale, silk twill, linen printed with the subtlety of watercolor, velvet, merino wool and mohair – interwoven with metallic threads or alternated with innovative and wood-based performance fibers as soft as cashmere. Perfectly poised between luxury and practicality, fabrics meant to be enjoyed in the simple moments of life. Sans Tabù imbues the quality and taste typical of Italian excellence with contemporary flair and expressive flights of fancy. As in the just-launched Renaissance Pop collection, where heraldic crests cavort with plant and animal motifs taken from Renaissance buildings, freely recomposing themselves and proffering a surprise sizzle of pop colors.
