THE TIMELESS SPIRIT OF FIAM’S GLASS:
AN ENCOUNTER AMONG MATERIALS, #design AND CREATIVITY

Fiam Italia represents the encounter among ideas and materials, between craftsmanship and innovation, in a sum of the parts that becomes the medium of a story, a narration that moves beyond the tangible and investigates the meaning of #design, the emotions related to beauty and the awareness about corporate responsibility and the significance of solidarity. An attitude that projects Fiam’s creations and the internationally renowned designers with whom the company collaborates in a harmonious combination, bringing them together in a dialogue made of passion and emotional intelligence.

With its new 2019 collections, #fiam introduces a series of objects, including tables, which represent the focus of daily actions, whether they are at the hearth of the house or the fulcrum of working activity. At the tables we meet, sit down and gather, outlining a space and a moment dedicated to voices, ideas, feelings and productiveness, theatre of moments that revolve about present and future. A future that is more and more defined by the here and now, rethinking the entire cycle of the production chain - from planning to final consumption - to embrace a philosophy based on sustainability. #fiam Italia since its establishment has worked with glass, one of the lowest environmental impact materials in the furniture sector, composed exclusively of natural elements and entirely recyclable, thus becoming the ambassador for a truly sustainable approach, facilitating the transition of architecture and #design industry towards a new virtuous model, the Circular Economy, also thanks to the constant research it conducts and which allows to patent and develop new production processes, such as the DV Glass® introduced at the 2018 Milan Furniture Fair.

MIX&MATCH OF MATERIALS, GEOMETRIES AND UNIQUENESS FOR THE NEW VEBLÉN COLLECTION

During the 58th edition of Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Veblén presents a collection that is renewed but at the same time anchored at the experience and skills of glass’ craftsmen, always able to model its delicate essence with unprecedented elegance and refinement. The Luxury Edition by #fiam Italia, with its fascinating transparencies and material effects, focuses on a living space inspired by the colours recalling the prestigious setting of Villa Miralfiore, ambassador of history, art and beauty of the Marche region and Fiam's adventure.

Once again, this year the brand is located in the exclusive Xlux pavilion, dedicated to timeless luxury, internationally renowned brands and the most glamorous materials. It is in fact thanks to its unique style, sophisticated aesthetic taste and made in Italy craftsmanship that Veblén is confirmed among the exhibitors of high-end furniture.

The collaboration with Stefano Bigi continues, further developing the Vendôme collection, a concept introduced last year and nowadays enriched by a console and a chair, in which the common thread lies in daring with decisive and unconventional geometries, remaining faithful to an essential simplicity where the rigour of Platonic solids meets the impossible constructions of Escher in a mix of eclecticism.

Combining the refinement of glass, a distinctive element of #fiam Italia, with the warmth of solid wood, the designer demonstrates his ability to balance aesthetic taste, comfort and functionality. In order to enhance the encounter between skillful elegance and craftsmanship obtained by associating profoundly different materials, the new Vendôme collection has been given a dedicated area, a limited space enclosed by glass walls made visible outside the pavilion, which translates into an invitation to look and discover the world of Veblén.

Among the products on display, in addition to Stefano Bigi's projects and the collections designed by Dainellistudio for the past editions, we discover the Monaco showcase designed by the Russian designer Olga Stupenko, which places itself with extreme elegance among art and craftsmanship, know-how and #design. Monaco is a material masterpiece in which glass is the main protagonist, declined in elegant bronze shades and enhanced by the presence of a LED lighting system capable of highlighting the #design of its evocative grain.

Veblén represents the glamour of living in total luxury, dedicated to those who know and recognize the codes of prestige. A brand that offers a refined and exclusive collection that fulfills the desire to know how to be unique.
