The entry of he the NEW LINE of nomadic and modular objects designed by Enrico and Viola Tonucci for #tonuccimanifestodesign.
The designer, #enricotonucci, designes two ultimate nomadic objects: #giotto a small foldable wooden and aluminum Tray-table and #scriba, a precious penholder covered in leather.
The designer #violatonucci widens the family of the BAO ottomans for #tonuccimanifestodesign with new products made in leather with the same folding technique similar to the Japanese origami art.
Are therefore born: TALLBAO (tall pouf ), BEBAO (lounge chair), #billbao (modular sofa) and LULLABAO
(basket).

The #scriba of the Captain
It is the nomadic object for excellence that recalls the adventures . In fact it is inspired to the writing desk of the Captain who annotated everything in the ship’s log. Scriba is endowed with two containers for pencils, pens and brushes and of a smaller one that can
slide inside the box or be positioned outside of the box.
Made in solid black walnut and covered in hand sawn leather: an aesthetical distinctive sign but, above all, functional because they strengthen the estate of the zipper. The box is perfectly closed thanks to two micro magnets.
Scriba is a precious case that contain pens, pencils, etc, the perfect gift for writers, architects and collectors that love to put back the objects with care.

GIOTTO The artist’s table
Giotto is a tray table conceived to complete the nomadic collection inspired by the classical director’s chair. The strong yet light polished aluminum X shaped structure, which is held together by leather belts, is the same of the Regista chair and its squared tray table Andrea+.
Joints in stainless steel and feet protected with hand-sewn leather rings.
The peculiarity of #giotto is that the round tray that sits on the structure is in solid black walnut and can be used on both sides. The wood is steam-bent and then finished at the CNC machine. Optional: leather mat. #giotto, closed with a simple gesture, can be set aside in a small place when not needed.

LULLABAO

“The Sweetest Thing”...LULLABAO!
The Headline wanted from the designer #violatonucci recalls two major bands from the 80’s: the U2 and the Cure that do not have very much in common except for the interest of the designer and the meaning that she wants to give to this new project for #tonuccimanifestodesign. “the objects I think are for the home and are usually soft and comforting” and, as Castiglioni used to mention, “Objects should keep us company”.
“LULLABAO comes from a retelling of one of my best sold products designed for #tonuccimanifestodesign: the BAO ottoman. With the same folding concept I have realized a basket for the home by using the maximum leather dimension but still maintaining the proportions and the goal, one leather hide=one object. This #design has no sawing, it is clean and essential. Belts can be placed in the side wings so to be used as handles to better move the object. Aesthetically it could look more like a bag hybridizing its #interiordesign identity with its fashion nomad object.

The designer #violatonucci widens the family of the BAO (cm 35 x 45 x h30)ottomans for #tonuccimanifestodesign with new products made in leather and with the same production technique similar to the Japanese origami art. The hide of frosted leather is refolded on itself, from this
gesture the ottoman is created and recalled.
BEBAO is a lounge chair made by combining 2 ottomans, TALLBAO (cm 50 X 35 x h50) and BIGBAO (cm 50 x 40 x h 40) held tight by a belt.

BILLBAO comes to life; a low couch that will vary its shape depending on the chosen ottomans (BAO, BIGBAO, TALLBAO) which are kept together by special belts.
