FW19/20 Katerina Kvit x T.Mosca collection is called ‘Life Lines’. This season, two brands have made separate collections, but they share one insight: general concept of stylistic decisions. #T.Mosca traditionally represented a knitwear collection, and #katerinakvit showed ready-to-wear classics. The common thing for the two brands is the vision, how the same items of the wardrobe can be interpreted differently, by diverse age and sex generations. Lines are the central concept and an important element of silhouette shapes and cut. They appear on the outside of the items: on scarves or pockets; but also on the inner lining elements.
T.Mosca is still faithful to knitwear, proving that almost the entire collection can consist of knitted items and accessories. This time, brand designers use new yarn and rely on texture mixes. Romantic mohair, introduced in lightweight sweaters and oversize cardigans. At the same time, the mohair texture is also used in fitted dresses, wide trousers, and tops. The iconic open-back #T.Mosca sweater appears in a new design: made of a delicate translucent mohair yarn. Embroidered sequins lines supports the main idea of the collection.
Designer Katerina Kvit highlights the DNA of her brand, using elements of sports chic in pret-a-porter. Key items: oversized trench coats, jackets, down jackets, shirts. This range creates a street style mood and fits different generations as well. For #katerinakvit, leather has always been the main material, and this season is no exception. The collection offers a new color of natural leather - charoite, a beautiful shade of purple. Leather shirts, midi skirts, and jackets with 1990s voluminous shoulder-line are shown in this color. Lacquered black leather appears in the details such as stripes on the lining, voluminous pockets, and belts. The color palette, except dramatic black and white, includes shades of olive, beige and purple.
