In January, #fca sales in Italy totaled nearly 39,800 vehicles and market share was 24.1%.
FCA continued the strategy initiated in 2018 of focusing on the more profitable sales channels, such as retail, where #fca significantly outperformed the market with a 16% year-over-year increase.
Jeep posted January sales of 6,250 vehicles with market share at 3.8% for the month.
The brand also continued as leader in the off-road segment.
The Jeep Renegade was among the top three in its segment for the month with an 11.4% share, while the Jeep Compass was the second best-selling vehicle in its segment with an 11.1% share.
Alfa Romeo sales in January totaled nearly 2,500 vehicles and brand market share was 1.5%.
The Stelvio was leader in its segment once again in January with a 13.4% segment share.
Fiat brand posted January sales of 24,450 vehicles and market share was 14.8% for the month.
The Panda dominated the overall rankings with more than 14,500 vehicles sold and was also leader in the A segment with a 46.3% share. The 500X also ranked in the top ten and was among the leaders in its segment with a 13.1% share. Results were also positive for the Qubo (segment leader), the 500 (second in A segment behind the Panda) and the Tipo, 124 Spider and 500L, which all ranked among the top three in their segments.
Lancia closed the month with sales up 55.4% to 6,600 vehicles. Brand market share was up 1.6 percentage points over January 2018 to 4.0%. This was the brand's highest market share since April 2016, reflecting strong results for the Lancia Ypsilon which was leader in the B segment with a 17.0% share and second overall for the month (runner up to the Fiat Panda).
