The Good Design Awards honour RILIEVI by CEDIT

The “Rilievi” collection by #cedit – Ceramiche d'Italia won at the 68th edition of the Good #design Awards, recognized as the world’s most prestigious and historic international #design award, annually awarded by the Chicago Athenaeum, Museum of Architecture and Design in collaboration with the European Centre for Architecture Art #design and Urban Studies.

Selected among the 500 most visionary companies in the world for its very striking aesthetic impact, the series designed by Zaven | Enrica Cavarzan & Marco Zavagno (awarded in the “floor and wall covering” category) breaks the traditional rules of ceramic: three-dimensional elements with different geometrical patterns and colours decorate the large #cedit slabs, transforming the walls and the spaces into truly scenic compositions.

“Rilievi” is the outcome of work to transform the two-dimensional sign into volume, which the two designers have been pursuing for some time. Previewed at the 2018 Fuorisalone, this series plays on the modular repetition of a three-dimensional element that is always arranged in a different way. It is an authentic sculptural project that combines the excellence of craftsmanship with the qualities of industrial production, the two key factors in CEDIT’s DNA.

Following the success at the last edition of the #gooddesignawards of another #cedit collection – “Storie” designed by the Zanellato/Bortotto firm – the international jury, made up of architects, designers and creative directors, once again awarded the most innovative products (from over 47 countries), which are then permanently exhibited in the Chicago Athenaeum.

With the “Rilievi” collection designed for #cedit, designers Enrica Cavarzan & Marco Zavagno are once again conquering the international stage. Since last April, the series has received the 2018 Archiproducts #design Award, the NYCxDESIGN Award and was recently nominated for the EDIDA (Elle Deco International #design Awards).
