Zach Osborne claims podium result at Supercross Geneva
Representing Husqvarna Motorcycles at the 33rd running of the Supercross Geneva, #rockstarenergyhusqvarnafactoryracing rider #zachosborne earned a third place result on the first night of #racing in Switzerland. Suffering an early fall during the final race on day two, Zach was unable to finish the #moto.
Following his strong third overall result two weeks ago at the Supercross de Paris, Osborne landed in Geneva looking to gain some more race time aboard his FC 450 ROCKSTAR EDITION machine. Getting off to a strong start on Friday, the American topped the first qualifying session on the first day of #racing at the Palexpo arena.
Getting a good start in the final #moto on Friday, Zach took the lead during lap three and stayed ahead for a large part of the race. Suffering a fall a few corners before the drop of the flag, he had to settle for a strong third place result.
Posting the second best time on Saturday’s qualifying session, Zach was looking to finish even higher on the second night of #racing in Geneva. Getting a good start in the final #moto, Osborne suffered a fall in the first corner and was unable to continue the race.
The #rockstarenergyhusqvarnafactoryracing rider will now return to the United States in order to resume his preparations for the coming season of #amasupercross competition.
Zach Osborne: “It was good to get some more time #racing the 450F here in Geneva. I had a good day on Friday. My lap times were good all through the night. I got a decent start in the final and ended up leading most of the race. A crash with a lapper in the final lap had me settle for third, but overall I was happy with my performance on day one. I knew I could battle for the win on the second night and I entered the final #moto with that goal in mind. I got off to a good start but got taken out in the very first corner. When I got up, I realised my bike was bent from the crash, so it was impossible to continue. I’m keeping the positives from this weekend. I’ll be heading back to the States now to continue the preparation for Anaheim 1.”
