Ferrari DNA signatures at the heart of new range

Maranello, 29 November 2018 – Signature #ferrari styling cues underscored by strong, captivating lines and innovative materials. Introducing the inspirations behind the extensive new Scuderia #ferrari spring-summer collection for men, women and children. This wide and varied range of apparel and accessories also has plenty to delight motorsport enthusiasts.

The innate ebullience of the signature Scuderia #ferrari styling cues – the Shield, the livery, the circuit-inspired graphic elements and the classic red – is the star of the new collection with patches featuring on outerwear, jackets, t-shirts and accessories for all ages. A new addition to the iconic symbols chosen to represent the world of #ferrari is the laurel wreath to underscore a sense of passion and spirit of competition.

A slew of technical solutions were developed to ensure that each item fits snugly yet never compromises freedom of movement. The jacket, for instance, has Hands Free ribbons that mean it can be slung on the back like a rucksack. Functionality is another #ferrari focus and has produced the Fit System which uses a double zip for a more tailored fit for each individual wearer.  Clima Fit, on the other hand, guarantees constant air circulation for a genuinely high performance result.

Meticulous materials research and sourcing has resulted in the selection of innovative fabrics of the likes of new CARBON X, a polyurethane-coated oxford nylon that incorporates water-repellent, stain-resistant carbon fibres.   Another is hybrid leather, a coated material that looks and feels just like leather but with a contemporary twist, while T2 TECH-TWILL and T3 LAMI-TECH are, respectively, two and three-layer polyester fabrics which are combined with a watertight, breathable and wind-stopping membrane.

Part of the collection spans apparel and accessories that are sure to appeal to F1 enthusiasts as they feature recurrent motifs in iconic colours including single-seater red, track grey, and the black and yellow of the Scuderia #ferrari Shield.  The women’s pieces are particularly detail-rich with attractively strong lines that beautifully compliment the female silhouette.

A more casual, urban look has been chosen for a selection of pieces in very high performance materials designed to tick all the boxes for leisure time activities.

This indoor and outdoor sports clothing selection centres around red and black with new graphic motifs: the structural hexagon of the single-seater’s light but incredibly tough carbon-fibre components is the favourite for the tops.

The collection is completed by a new line of accessories – gloves, bags and wallets – with an edgier, more fun feel. Colourful patches and #ferrari Shields alternate in cleverly iconic mix of references.

The Scuderia #ferrari spring-summer collection now also includes three new lines:

• “Freccia” is a new capsule collection for men and women from Scuderia #ferrari featuring embossed Asfaltino technical fabric which has a textured asphalt-type look;
• “Evo Saffiano” is a comprehensive new line of wallets and keychains of all sizes and types;
• “Hyperformula” is the new accessories line in padded and embossed coated fabrics.
