Ceramica Globo @ Milan Design Week 2018
New finishes, models and shapes take the stage in Globo's new-looking showroom to celebrate Milan #design Week. #tedge, the collection designed by CreativeLab+, is once again the star of the show, together with plenty of other new products, finishes and additions.
In its revamped showroom, #ceramicaglobo presents its new bathroom solutions in response to diverse market demands: through expanding ranges, new products and finishes that focus on colour and technology.
Inspiration and style are paired with the company’s sound technical expertise to create innovative, sophisticated yet practical new products.
The latest Globo products are:
T-Edge
While the iconic #design of the products – a wide basin and thin rims measuring just 6 mm – remains unchanged, the #tedge family is growing. The new additions include three new square 37-cm-deep models, available in both wall-mounted and countertop version, along with further eight models in different shapes and depths. They are currently on display in the showroom and will be available shortly.
The basins in this collection also come in the 14 #bagno di Colore colours and are made with the patented Globothin ceramic mixture, developed after years of research to make the thinner rims harder and glossier without affecting their stability. This technique reduces the consumption of raw materials and energy and results in a mixture that is more ductile for creating new shapes.
Display
Recently selected in the “design for living” category by the ADI (Italian Industrial #design Association) and in the running for the ADI’s XXV Compasso d’Oro award, the Display collection designed by GamFratesi stands out for its technology and forms, which focus on the everyday bathroom user.
The surfaces, spaces, depths, and dimensions have all been designed to respond to human motions in an original, customisable way. The six washbasins in the collection come with a ceramic lateral flat surface where users can place items and adapt the basin to suit their needs.
Colour, efficient flush, and new finishes
To ensure a consistent colour interplay among all the bathroom fittings, #ceramicaglobo has developed new ceramic flush plates in the 14 #bagno di Colore tones. These flush plates match Globo’s flush cisterns and provide efficient flush even with just 4/2.6 litres. Months of studies have also led to several technical modifications, such as optimising the dimensions and shape of the syphon pipe, to ensure efficient flushing WCs.
Research and innovation are the cornerstone of developing and constantly honing a product range that offers attractive, practical solutions for every need. These include the new Carrara marble finish in the Le Pietre collection, which joins the grey Peperino and the Travertine.
The three options were inspired by the veins seen in the most sought-after natural stones. They are currently available for the #tedge, Forty3, Genesis, Bowl+, Stone and Lavabi da #arredamento collections with a waste cover that matches the basin.
Technological solutions
Ever conscious of the functional aspect of its products, #ceramicaglobo has improved the efficiency of the Multi system, with a 2.0 version, and the Senzabrida system. The latter technology is now also available on two new models in the Incantho series and one in the Stone series. Along with these two solutions there are the company’s already existing systems: the hygienic, stain-resistant Ceraslide glaze and the Bataform antibacterial treatment.
The Multi 2.0 system, which has been developed especially for refurbishments, means that wall-hung sanitary ware and floor-standing toilets can now be replaced by back-to-wall models. Compared to the old system, the new one offers more adjustment options and therefore reduces the number of interventions required.
Senzabrida channels the flow of water through a single point at the rear side of the bowl, thereby eliminating the need for a rim, improving hygiene, and making cleaning far easier. Water flows silently in a circle that guarantees a professional performance and makes it ideal for contract settings. This system is already available for the Incantho, Stone, Stockholm, Forty3, 4ALL and Bowl + series.
