January 19, 2018, #sanfrancisco, U.S.A.

The Bay Area and the wine regions of Napa and Sonoma Valley are known for itheir bounty in world-class #food and wine. To highlight local winemakers, Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco turned the traditional wine dinner upside down with “Wine, #food & Friends.”

The monthly gathering of friends in the #food and wine industry highlights a celebrated winery and the culinary expertise of chefs Cyrille Pannier and Esteban Soria in an intimate setting of 12. Taking place every fourth Thursday of the month in MKT Restaurant-Bar, guests are seated with the chef and winemaker at the table, for a truly memorable experience.

“It’s been amazing to connect with guests in the smaller dinner setting,” said Chef #estebansoria. “We are able to really share the beauty behind every dish and the wine, while having an amazing night in MKT.”

On January 25, 2018, the wine partner is San Francisco-based Oro En Paz. Co-founders #benherod and #nateclark will be in attendance. The dinner is USD 100 per person and the menu can be viewed and reservations can be made through Eventbrite.

“An evening like this is what #oroenpaz is about: friendship, having fun, enjoying the moment,” said #benherod with #oroenpaz. “Plus, we’re excited to share some knowledge about our wines.”

“My inspiration for this dinner is San Francisco’s rich history. For example, for the first course, the charred radicchio symbolises the aftermath of the 1906 earthquake,” explains Chef Esteban. “It is paired with kumquats, prosciutto and mole, ingredients from Asia, Italy and Mexico respectively, showcasing a taste of what these cultures would bring to this city in the bay.”

“Other heritage dishes are showcased on the menu: San Francisco’s Louie salad and cioppino, but both with modern twists and paired beautifully with Oro En Paz’s wines,” concludes Chef Esteban. “It will be fun to share each dish’s inspiration and history with this group and how the founders of #oroenpaz and I came up with the pairing.”
