Simidele Adeagbo competed in her last major track and field #competition in June of 2008. The 26-year-old, four-time NCAA All American and triple jump record holder for the University of Kentucky had been training since she was in high school to make it to the Olympics. But she fell short — by eight inches — for the last time. So, she hung up her track spikes, put away her training book and said she was “just going to be a regular person who worked and stayed in shape.” That lasted for nearly 10 years.
