Giardino - Cucina Mediterranea at FICO Eataly World

GIARDINO’S INAUGURATION AT THE FICO EATALY WORK THEMATIC PARK: THE NEW CONCEPT THAT GATHERS AUTHENTIC FARMLAND FLAVORS TO TRADITIONAL ITALIAN CUISINE, FOLLOWING THE GUIDELINES OF THE MEDITERRANEAN DIET
The mediterranean diet, classified as the worlds best nutritional model and added to the Representative List of the UNESCO, Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010, considers a proportionally high consumption of olive oil, legumes, unrefined cereals, fruits, vegetables and a moderate consuption of animal proteins.
’Giardino’ was born starting from this principle, using most vegetable proteins, avoiding the use of meat and fish, that are foods consumed daily in very high quantities compared to our body's needs. #giardino will be the only vegetarian restaurant inside “FICO Eataly World Park”, offering a selection of ‘plant-based’ recipes made with the best vegetable products, promoting a balanced, healthy and tasty diet.
The menu is structured mainly using vegetable proteins and includes multi ingredient jars, main courses and fried vegetable prepared freshly upon order. Some of the dishes are served inside of glass jars in order to begin enjoying the experience visually and then with your palate.
In addition, the use of glass containers guarantees the flavor of dishes to remain intact until the last bite, for a diet rich in all the nutrients our body needs. Every glass jar contains a different taste that recalls traditional italian and mediterranean recipes.
You can choose from glass jars of final recipes such as cous cous, white beans and fresh ‘borettane’ onions, or between glass jars with individual ingredients with traditional dishes such as ‘friggione’ or ‘peperonata’.
Green is the keyword that distinguishes the space around which #giardino takes form.
This color is expressed in all its shades through the use of different materials. The marble counter, decorated with a botanical wallpaper, is the main element. Giving guests the impression of being inside a real mediterranean garden.
#giardino proposes itself as a pilot project that, starting from the opening of #ficoeatalyworld Park, aims to become a new type of place to decline in other realities and cities around the world, able to promote the Mediterranean diet as the best compromise for eating and living well.
