Nissan children’s book competition open for entries

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has sponsored the Grand Prix since it began in 1984. The competition is organized by the International Institute for Children's Literature, Osaka. It offers talented writers and illustrators of children's books a platform to showcase their work, and the winning entries are published. Past winners have gone on to have successful careers as authors and illustrators.
The competition now attracts close to 3,000 entries each year. Nissan will fund the distribution of the winning works to libraries and child care facilities near Nissan offices and plants in Japan, in cooperation with BL Publishing Co., Ltd.
The competition is part of Nissan's ongoing commitment to philanthropic activities worldwide, focusing on education, the environment and humanitarian efforts.
