Ducati Scrambler at Wheels and Waves with two new entries

  • Mach 2.0 version and #fullthrottle in new graphics unveiled in Biarritz
  • Bikes ridden to #biarritz from Borgo Panigale
  • Wheels and Waves can be experienced live on Radio #ducati Scrambler
Borgo Panigale, Bologna, 14 June 2017 – #ducati #scrambler and its Land of Joy have landed at Wheels and Waves for a world-first presentation of two new entries. This renowned French event, being held from 14 to 18 June in #biarritz, was selected as the perfect platform on which to unveil the new #ducati #scrambler #mach20 and the latest #fullthrottle graphics. Sleek, with low-slung tapered aluminium handlebars, the #mach20 also features a dedicated Flat Track Pro seat, black exhaust and cylinder head covers, plus Café Racer-style brushed cooling fins. Its fresh graphics, created by renowned Californian designer Roland Sands, take their cue from the Bell Cross Idol helmet (Ducati #scrambler 2017 apparel collection) and feature colours that evoke the typical West Coast style of the ’70s. Inspiration for the name of this latest #scrambler version comes from a bike that made #ducati - and motorcycling - history in the ’60s. Back in 1965, in fact, the Mach 1 250 was launched: a classic of its day that mounted the same engine as the #scrambler 250 of the time. Needless to say, the choice of name stems from its association with speed and movement: 'Mach', in fact, is the unit of measure for supersonic speeds. The #mach20 can be seen in a teaser video on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IS2fBWdQqJI) in which the protagonist is a scale model, and the unveil is now live on Radio #scrambler. The #fullthrottle version has eye-catching new graphics; the sporty model in the #ducati #scrambler range, it features a new, “Shining Black” tank and front mudguard, plus a new side panel with a distinctive black chequerboard pattern on a yellow stripe. Both bikes arrived at #biarritz after leaving Borgo Panigale on 12 June, travelling together with a Volkswagen California Ocean and a Volkswagen Amarok converted into a mobile radio station broadcasting Radio #ducati #scrambler live! Once the Amarok arrived at Wheels and Waves it became the event's official radio station. Until 18 June, you can listen in to live Wheels and Waves broadcasts four times a day. Every year, this event is a magnet for bike and surf devotees from all over the world. To follow Radio #ducati #scrambler just go to the #ducati #scrambler facebook page or www.scramblerducati.com.
