Numarine 62 HT delivered in Australia ready to wow Sydney

Numarine has just launched and landed its first boat into #australia. The very first unit of62HT(Hardtop model), a boundary-breaking boat by the Turkish high performance motor #yacht shipyard - conceived to have the highest volume in the 60 category.

Measuring in a19.16 meters LOA, with a 5.15 meter beam, the #numarine #62ht has the same bold styling common to all the Turkish yard's family line products, with a sportive design that respects the exceptional onboard space available to theowner. Ample open areas and brightly lit interiors define Numarine's traditional and characteristic layout.

The #62ht is drawn by Numarine's designer Can Yalman, responsible for the concept, lines and interiors whileUmberto Tagliavini is the naval architect and Gurit was in charge of the structural engineering.

Paul Miletta, Director of Q7 Marine – official #numarine dealer for Australia- is very proud of the first model in his country:"We're different to everyone else. The boat is vacuum infused, the quietness is unbelievable, we are cruising with 67dba at the helm. The space for a 62 is like that of a 70 footer. We've managed to get everything on one level and we have full standing height in the engine room" .

While the styling is certainly eye-catching, the #62ht appears to support its contemporary European design lines with some practicality.

There’s a large cockpit, wide walk-around decks, and an especially accommodating sunken bow seating area.

Comfort and cheer were the guidelines in designing the #numarine 62HT'sinternal layout. The three guest cabins, well fitted out with plenty of storage space, each have their own bathroom and are much larger than you would expect in a boat of this size. The full-beam owner’s suite, with its huge picture windows at water level, fills the cabin full of light and the view it offers to those reclining in bed (165cm wide) is breathtaking.

The potential versatility of any yacht’s ventilation is not often appreciated by those who like only air-conditioned interiors. Throughout #numarine #62ht, there is the ability to let fresh air circulate through the boat by flipping open hatches in the windows or by electrically lowering the forward side windows in the main saloon, which is a welcome feature.

Abundant use of glazing enlarges the interior/exterior perception — the windscreen is one piece and weighs 320kg — the interior has a cutting-edge luxury finish, with large-grain light timbers and finish options to enliven things further.

Omer Malaz, Founder and CEO of #numarine stated:  “the #62ht is probably the best model to introduce #numarine to #australia – it carries all of the #numarine DNA – innovative exterior design, enormous amount of exterior light in the interiors, seaworthy performance and the quietest and most comfortable interior in its category.  We are proud of this new model expect great results in Australia!”

Thedécor of the interior is clean and warmly minimalist and relies heavily on the use of glass, leather and stainless steel to give it a contemporary feel. The leather-covered interior hand and holding rails are very pleasing to the touch.

Refreshingly, the more traditional amidship’s galley in the saloon delivers a return to the aft lounging area, which is the most comfortable part of any boat, and it's opposite an entertainment hub and alongside the rear opening saloon doors. This will ensure the #numarine #62ht has somewhere you can retreat indoors to relax.

Antonio Caviglia, Numarine’s Sales and Marketing Director adds:  “Although this model is a coupé hardtop version, it exhibits Numarine’s signature bow entertainment area, almost as spacious as a flybridge, and a fantastic cockpit area designed for entertainment, that extends seamlessly without a step into the main salon when you open completely the 3 piece sliding glass door.  Entertainment space is king in our #62ht.”

Numarine #62ht performance claims, are up to 35-knots top speed using IPS 1200s, with the IPS 950 base engines giving 30.8 knots, and 900hp D13 Volvos with shafts are listed as an option.

Using Volvo IPS is very important in space saving, it allows accommodation space to free up. Their smaller size frees up considerable space in the engine room, which in turn allows us to increase fuel tank capacity, notably increasing the cruising range.

Volvo IPS system offers also a 30 percent reduction in fuel consumption, 30 percent less CO2 emissions, 50 percent lower perceived noise level, 40 percent longer cruising range, 20 percent higher top-speed, and safe and predictable handling.

Numarine's designer Can Yalman refers:“With the #62ht I continued the evolution of Numarine’s signature silhouette, emphasizing taught muscular lines in a sleek profile that incorporates extensive glazing for maximum transparency with surprisingly generous interior volumes found usually on larger boats - this is the latest baby #numarine but with all the features of its larger Numarine siblings.  it is one of my favorites!”

Umberto Tagliavini adds - “The hull design of the #numarine #62ht is derived from President Omer Malaz's needs and requests for an innovative boat designed around the Volvo IPS propulsion systems. The challenge was even more interesting considering that it was also desirable to mount an in-line transmission for the markets that are still attracted to the more traditional system. Sea trials confirmed the twin personality of the hull design, which garnered excellent results. The bow's entry is very deep to better cut through the waves, however high, and these very conditions were found during the trials, confirming the foreseen performance in real sea conditions.

Even the special shape of the hull strakes were designed (using CFD techniques) to improve performance and optimize on-board comfort while eliminating spray on the wind screen”.

Local #numarine dealer is Q7 Marine based at d'Albora Marinas in Cabarita on Sydney Harbour.
