Brembo presents 6 and 4 piston monobloc forged gt calipers (m6-m4)

Brembo pays serious attention to the constant evolution of GT cars and this is
confirmed by the introduction of a new range of 6 and 4 piston monobloc calipers that
ensure reliable performance and a significant reduction in weight compared to the
previous versions. They also feature an innovative design with geometries conceived
to make caliper and pad cooling even more efficient.
The new 6-piston front caliper is available with different hydraulic combinations and it
allows the installation of discs up to 390 mm diameter and 35 mm thick, as well as
pads up to 30 mm thickness.
The caliper is also available with a fixed bridge that guarantees better stiffness, or with
an optimised removable bridge to allow quick pad changes.
The new 4-piston rear caliper is available with or without fixed bridge and with two
different fixings. The caliper allows the installation of discs up to 360 mm diameter and
32 mm thick, as well as pads up to 26.5 mm thickness.
Combining innovation and the family feeling, the new monobloc forged calipers join the
range of #brembo products, guaranteeing interchangeability with the current calipers
already on the market.
NEW ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT RALLY DISC, NOW EVEN LIGHTER
Introduced for the first time in 2013, the Ultra Lightweight Rally disc has now been
presented on the market with new specifications in terms of diameter and thickness. A
first development of the disc allowed to realize the Lightweight Rally disc 20% lighter
compared to a standard Rally disc of the same size. Now, thanks to further optimisation
of the Lightweight design, the advantage increases even more, lightening the disc by
6%.
In addition to the significant weight saving, the new Ultra Lightweight Rally disc ensures
completely new and redesigned ventilation that allows an effective and more efficient
cooling, a really useful feature in a discipline where the brakes are constantly hardly
used. The conventional 300 and 355 mm diameter sizes are joined by the brand new
370 mm disc, perfect for the extremely fast stages on asphalt and already in
compliance with the new 2017 regulations.
NEW LIGHT PEDAL BOX
Designed and developed during the Rally world championship stages, this pedal box
was initially made to equip the cars in the WRC and GT championships, but it can be
used in any competition that demands maximum performance. The pedal box arises
from an exceptional development and optimisation of the previous version, achieving
improvements in terms of weight and performance. The structure is floor mounted and has 3 pedals splitted into two groups, also available
separately: brake - clutch and throttle.
The brake – clutch assembly, fitted on a single pin, contributes to a stiffness
optimisation. The “Y” reinforcement that joins the main frame to the balance bar
improves as well the stiffness.
The throttle assembly is a separate frame compared to the brake - clutch, allowing a
free mounting position. The throttle sensor has a redundant electronic system, which
guarantees output signal even in case of failure.
The overall weight of the pedal box is just 2.42 kg (without master cylinders).
This pedal box design offers different devices, which allow easy customization; the
personalization meets the different needs of drivers, who can feel this component
perfectly suitable to their driving style. In fact, both of the assemblies have adjustable
pedals and plates; throttle springs are available with different stiffness. The master
cylinders, all push type, are available in various diameters and versions such as, for
example, the “Performance” version where the free stroke is calibrated for each master
cylinder.
As optional equipment for the brake-clutch block, the Remote Adjuster can be ordered
with two different lengths for active adjustment of the brake balance. This optional
allows the driver to adjust the brake balance between the front and the rear, directly
from the cockpit.
Finally, to further improve the feeling in the driver's braking, #brembo is finalising the
development of a new range of brake master cylinders. In fact, stroke and pressure
sensors have been integrated in the body, as well as side ports and fork mounting, in
order to keep all the features in a compact system.
