Foundation Pomodoro hosts a performance by Francesca Schgor

On Thursday October 27th, at 6 pm, the last appointment of the Project Room 2016 takes place at the Foundation. The exhibition space in 9, Via Vigevano in Milan hosts a #performance by #francescaschgor, with reruns at 6:45pm and 7:30pm.
Good Old Neon is the performance-project which marks a new step in the quinquennal research by #francescaschgor (Milan, 1988) about the themes of shame, addic- tions, sham and pleasure.
In addition to the study of the scientific literature about the topic, the mixture of references of the artist is composed by a patient acquisition of personal observations through a curiosity without preconception, which takes Francesca to watch and process both the contemporary narrative and the incentives coming from the visual arts, even the typical dimensions of the pop culture, like the one of the music videos.
In this case, the bond with the writings of David Foster Wallace is fundamental, especially with the short fiction – the direct inspiration of the #performance – Good Old Neon (Oblivion. Stories, Little, Brown and Company, 2004), a heart-to-heart confession of a suicide, the drastic evaluation of a life constantly varying between the pursuit of happiness and the inevitability of the deception.
The choice of the media and the minimalistic set – a mirror, a pillow, a spotlight, a speaker and a white strip to mark the stage – tend to spoil, in the easiest and most direct way, the distinction between reality and fiction, spectator and actor.
the #performance is realised thanks to the participation of:
Daniele Gaggianesi (actor)
Laura Massari, Marco Notarnicola, Ilaria Puricelli, Andrea Ra- na, Massimiliano Saracino e Chiara Serafini (dancers)
Martino Schgor (music)
With the Project Room, the Foundation offers to artists under-30 its spaces and expertise in conceiving and creating art projects. Also, promoting educational activities led by the Educatio- nal department, it offers to the younger public the opportunity to explore the contemporary arts.
All Project Rooms and related activities are realised thanks to the support of EasyReading Multi- media and to the collaboration of Blazing Strategies International Ltd.
