OPEL ARENA to be Opened with Huge Party and Exciting Match
- 1. FSV #mainz05 to take on Jürgen Klopp’s #liverpoolfc in opener
- TV coverage: SAT.1 to broadcast live from 15:25 CET on August 7
- Swinging stadium: Cassandra Steen to perform with huge fan choreography
- RPR.1 show stage: Live music and interviews with players and coaches
Rüsselsheim/Mainz. The #opel ARENA will celebrate its official opening with a bang on Sunday, August 7. The fans can already prepare for the friendly between 1. FSV #mainz05 and Jürgen Klopp’s #liverpoolfc at the festival in front of the stadium as of 13:30 CET. Live music and post-match interviews with players can be seen on the center stage provided by radio partner RPR.1. #opel will bring a Rallye ADAM driving simulator, the #opel merchandising truck and the CarUnity, the #opel carsharing community, #event tent to the summer festival. Furthermore, #opel commercial vehicles will organize a special trick shot competition involving the loading beds of #opel Movano and co.
German broadcaster SAT.1 will start its live coverage of the friendly at 15:25 CET. Cassandra Sheen will send shivers down the spectators’ spines when she sings with the fans and is accompanied by a choreography involving 3,000 #opel employees. The 25 player escorts, who won their places by taking part in various competitions in the build-up to the #event, will also be part of the performance. In addition, six lucky winners will be allowed to sit on red #opel sofas positioned directly next to the benches during the match. The game in the #opel ARENA will kick off at 15:45. And the best thing is: A small allocation of tickets is still available from the usual ticket offices and the online shop.
