The material elegance of MisuraEmme

For three generations, #misuraemme has remained faithful to strong, binding values: 100% Made in Italy projects, created with a focus on craftsmanship and environmental sustainability, which feature a high level of customization.
These qualities are recognized and exported beyond national borders through a process of internationalization and by capitalizing on the company’s corporate know-how.

The layout of the large exhibition space, designed by Mauro Lipparini, was arranged to provide an overview of the products in the catalogue, while demonstrating the company’s ability to meet the requirements of a total look for the living and sleeping areas – areas created through a perfect harmony of furniture, upholstery and accessories.

The “contemporary villa” concept is divided into rooms that communicate with each other through the striking use of transparencies: a leitfmotif that is present throughout the entire exhibition stand, which is also characterized by the use of wood panelling as a functional element, integrated in the furnishings and no longer purely decorative.

An 18 sq m winter garden provides the backdrop for two living areas, standardized by the choice of colors, a uniform mood that makes it easier to interpret the space without a continuous solution: Nero Marquina, Gray Elm, Fumed Oak and Ash alternate in a dynamic interplay enhanced by special bronzed metal partitions. The collections and walls are upholstered with refined materials in original combinations.

The new additions designed by Lipparini feature clean designs and discreet elegance, continuing the architect’s legendary collaboration with the company.

Great attention has been paid to the #design of the sideboards, which are presented in standing and hanging versions. Available in two different collections, they feature bases which derive, respectively, from the Kessler coffee tables and the Madison sofa.
These spacious containers are embellished by a combination of special textures, an additional aesthetic feature.

The living area is enriched by a new variation of the Florentia armchair, which is presented this year with a new curved solid wood base, and by a series of new Gramercy coffee tables with different shapes and finishes.
A new round #table is presented for the dining room – a version of the Ala #table, which has a large diameter and is fitted with a Lazy Susan. The marble top perfectly combines with the finish of the base in a vintage and contemporary mix.

The Urban and Crossing living systems have an extremely free composition, liberated from the concept of a piece of furniture that is purely a container and becoming vehicles of furnishing suggestions, thanks to the LED counter-lighting and the integration of different concepts, some of which are borrowed from the sleeping area: the Palo Alto system and the Narcisse door thus transfer to the living area, bringing with them the lightness and transparency that constitutes the leitmotif of 2016.

The theme of double-material combinations, which was tested last year with the Sumo bed, also makes its appearance in the living area with various chairs presented in versions that feature two colors and two materials: from the Ermes and Florentia armchairs, redesigned in an original style, to the Michelle chairs.

The two sleeping area settings present a number of new additions.
Two new beds are on show: Cosy and the sommier Ghiroletto.
The first features a dynamic headboard and the use of leather inserts that laterally define it, while the second is specially designed for the contract-furniture industry: here the panelling is no longer simply a decorative element but becomes a technical/functional part of the furnishing, forming the padded headboard of the container bed.

The Palo Alto system evolves and is now able to accommodate all the types of doors in the catalogue: it will be exhibited at the stand with the London and Narcisse doors. The unusual ability to create a transparent angle fits perfectly with the allure of the stand.

The stand is enriched by other iconic #misuraemme furniture. This includes the AR1 bar trolley designed by A.Roth and the Tensolibreria by W. Laubersheimer which are part of MisuraEmme’s Atelier collection, the Archetto, Cleo and Surface chairs which demonstrate the company’s tendency to experiment, the Virgo console tables and the Hill coffee tables in different sizes and finishes, and the I-Box #milano, perfected by the Acanto handle.

MisuraEmme continues its evolution in pursuit of quality, #design and innovation: a journey that has distinguished the company for over one hundred years.
Refined, stylish surfaces, wood, marble, metal and fabrics are perfectly united with soft atmospheres in which different materials guide the eye through MisuraEmme’s structured #design process.
