Abarth alongside the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP

This season, &35;abarth will be Official &35;sponsor and Official Car Supplier of the Movistar &35;yamaha &35;motogp Team, lined up for the FIM &35;motogp World Championship. The Scorpion brand has always been synonymous with innovation and performance, as confirmed by the new &35;abarth 124 spider presented at the recent International Motor Show in Geneva.

 

The &35;partnership between &35;abarth and the Movistar &35;yamaha &35;motogp Team continues this year after the prestigious hat-trick last season of worldwide success in rankings of drivers, manufacturers, and the Team.
The front fairing of the two &35;yzrm1 2016 bikes displays the Scorpion logo, synonymous with &35;racing and the symbol of a legacy of victories and passion which introduced one of the great phenomena of modern motor sports, confirmed at the recent Geneva International Motor Show. At the Swiss show, the brand attracted public attention thanks to the world première of the new &35;abarth 124 spider. Available in dealerships beginning in September, it is already possible to order the first 2,500 models produced this year at the Officine &35;abarth in an exclusive, numbered edition at a price of 40,000 Euros in Europe.

 

This is a fun, unconventional car, destined to become an icon of driving pleasure. Like every &35;abarth, in fact, the new 124 spider is designed for excitement and performance and has all the qualities to satisfy even the most demanding drivers: rear-wheel drive, sophisticated suspension, and a 1.4 MultiAir 170 HP four-cylinder turbocharged engine under the bonnet, available with a six-speed manual or six-speed Sequenziale Sportivo automatic transmission with steering-wheel paddle shifters.

 

The &35;abarth &35;595yamahafactoryracing special series springs from the &35;partnership between &35;abarth and &35;yamaha. The two brands have collaborated, developing the car in the way a &35;racing bike is usually developed. Designs focused on engine power (up from 140 HP to 160 HP), the BMC filter, the suspension and the shock absorbers (Koni front and rear shock absorbers with FSD valves and Eibach springs), 17" matt black alloy wheel rims and Record Monza exhaust.

 

Finally, since 1 March, the passion that reigns on the racetrack and on board each &35;abarth car can be found in "The Scorpionship," the brand's only official community dedicated to car owners, collectors, &35;abarth club members, and fans.
