February 24, 2016 - #hyundai Motor Company, South Korea’s largest automaker, held today an inauguration ceremony of the fourth ‘Hyundai-KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) Dream Center’ in #vietnam.

The new Dream Center, following the openings of previous Dream Centers in Ghana, Indonesia and Cambodia, is part of #hyundai Motor’s global #corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to offer vocational training for youth in underdeveloped regions.

“‘Hyundai-KOICA Dream Center’ in #vietnam will be beneficial for both the youth and industry in #vietnam by providing a bridge from school to work,” said Byung Hoon Lee, Director of #corporate Responsibility Team at #hyundai Motor.

This time, #hyundai Motor has established its fourth Dream Center not only with KOICA but also with #hyundai Engineering and Construction (Hyundai E&C) which is an affiliate of #hyundai Motor Group. It is the first center ever established in collaboration with #hyundai E&C.

Thus, the new center consists of two main buildings located in the campus of Hanoi Industrial Vocational College with each building having a floor space of more than 495 m². Both buildings are within a close proximity of 30 meters to each other.

Inside the two buildings, the center offers two separate courses; an 18 month course on #auto repair skills and a 10 month or year course on construction skills. The courses will be conducted by #hyundai Motor and #hyundai E&C, respectively. #hyundai Motor’s 18 month course is also a college degree curriculum and will accept 50 students annually.

Hyundai Motor will not only be involved in developing the center’s education programs and operations, but also plans to further extend its support to graduates by offering jobs at its local dealerships.
