Introducing #Guesseco, the first sustainable denim capsule by Guess
As sexy and iconic as ever, #guess is expanding into eco-friendly #fashion with the creation of its first GuessEco denim capsule launching in the Spring/Summer 2016 season.
Designed with sustainability in mind, the collection features denim produced using more efficient processes that allows for significant water and energy savings, considerably reduces CO2 emissions, and an emphasis on using chemicals with a low environmental footprint, such as water-based colorants.
The capsule’s #jeans feature a higher percentage of organic cotton and its internal lining materials consist of 30% recycled polyester. #guess has also selected officially-certified trim materials for its GuessEco denim: our leather tags are certified by OekoTex, the International Association for Research and Testing in the Field of Textile Ecology, while our buttons and rivets feature the Low Impact Finish Ensemble (LIFE) treatment.
For its GuessEco capsule, #guess has scouted for the best suppliers, fine-tuned its washes to achieve natural resource savings, and collaborating with external laboratories for #product testing, with the goal of reducing our impact on the environment.
The resulting capsule collection offers a seamless blend of cool design and innovation, and our sustainable denim delivers the same high performance as the rest of our GUESS’s denim collection. GuessEco features products for the whole family, from sexy cropped jeggings and overalls for her, to bold skinny denim for him, and on-trend #jeans for kids.
