The Fiat Ducato 4x4 Expedition Show Camper Van will be the star of the Stuttgart CMT, Europe's largest exhibition open to the public dedicated to caravanning, motoring and tourism which last year attracted over 240,000 visitors and more than 2000 exhibitors. Strong of its position as European leader in motorhome bases for the recreational vehicle conversion sector, Fiat Professional will be taking part in the prestigious event which will be taking place from January 16 to 24. New roads even under the snow
"Opening new roads" is the claim accompanying the original Show Camper Van which perfectly sums up its adventurous spirit. Based on the Fiat Ducato best-seller, which has recently won the prestigious "Best Motorhome Base Vehicle 2016" award, Fiat Ducato 4x4 Expedition adopts a long wheelbase configuration with extra overhang, raised roof and powerful 2.3 MultiJet II 150 HP engine. It is targeted to adventurous travellers who are seeking a vehicle which is high-performing and agile on the road with a large, comfortable living space at the same time.
Partners of excellence were involved in its design: Tecnoform for the interiors, Olmedo for the exteriors and Dangel for the drive system. The latter is the strength of the model: permanent all-wheel drive system with viscous coupling combined with a special raised ride and oversized tyres. These solutions allow Ducato 4x4 Expedition to confidently tackle even snow and satisfy users who enjoy a sporty lifestyle in winter too.
Comfort and technology also off-road
Its off-road vocation does not put comfort inside at risk and the interiors are designed by leading motorhome, yacht and luxury furniture manufacturer Tecnoform.
