Vittorio Branchizio is this edition’s Pitti Italics
Pitti Italics is the program through which the Fondazione Pitti Discovery promotes and supports internationally promising new generation fashion designers and the most interesting brands that design and produce in Italy. The Pitti Italics at this edition will be VITTORIO BRANCHIZIO, designer and winner of the 2015 WHO IS ON NEXT? UOMO competition, with his men’s collection on stage on Wednesday 13 January at the Dogana of Via Valfonda.
“At Who Is On Next? Uomo we were very impressed by Vittorio Branchizio’s career and his innovative talent for knitwear that blends artisan skill and contemporary styling”, says Lapo Cianchi, Pitti Immagine Director of Communications and Events and the man in charge of the Fondazione Pitti Discovery. “We are happy to offer him our stage so that he can show his new collection to the Pitti Uomo audience”.
“Winning Who Is On Next? was a wonderful experience thanks to the unanimous opinion of a panel of extremely qualified specialists”, says Vittorio Branchizio. “That victory is proving to be a great stimulus for the brand’s growth thanks to the support of Pitti Immagine and the several Who’s On Next? partners we are working with. Projects such as this are important for us, young emerging designers, as they facilitate our entry into a competitive field, giving us the guidelines and support we need.”
Pitti Italics is one of the Pitti Immagine Uomo projects that furthers the partnership between MINI and Pitti Immagine. More specifically, MINI’s participation in Pitti Uomo focuses on projects reserved for young, emerging brands and the most innovative trends in contemporary men’s fashions

With ten years of experience in the world of knitwear, Vittorio Branchizio launched his own line of men’s knits in 2014. His collections are the result of in-depth research and experimentation that always look to the visual arts and cooperation with internationally renowned artists. In June 2015, he won the Who Is On Next? Uomo competition with his 2016 spring-summer collection. Fine yarns, advanced technologies and design form his signature in a fusion of romantically minimalist forms and complex textures and geometries. In Vittorio Branchizio’s knits incongruously combined materials join hands to trigger poetic postindustrial emotions.
