Ellerstina Piaget Won the first match of the Palermo Argentine Open
The Pieres team won their first match in the Palermo Open against Washington Polo Team by 14 to 10. Ellerstina Piaget was ahead in the first chukkers of the game, but the opposing team soon tied the match. Facundo Pieres, (the top scorer of the game with 9 goals), was able to take charge of the scoreboard; thus defeating Washington.
The 2015 Ellerstina Piaget team presents a full Pieres lineup. Brothers’ Gonzalo Jr. (10), Facundo (10) and Nicolás (9) joined forces with their cousin and new 10-goaler, Polito. Former team member, Mariano Aguerre, is acting as team coach.
Ellerstina Piaget: Pablo Pieres 10 (1 goal), Nicolás Pieres 9 (1 goal), Gonzalo Pieres 10 (3 goals) and Facundo Pieres 10 (9 goals, six by penalty). Total: 39.
Washington Murus Sanctus: Diego Cavanagh 8 (3 goals), Ezequiel Martínez Ferrario 7 (1 goal), Facundo Sola 8 (6 goals, four by penalty) y Alfredo Cappella Barabucci 8. Total: 31.
Ellerstina Piaget: 1-1, 3-3, 3-6, 6-7, 9-7, 12-8, 13-8 y 14-10.
Ellerstina will play against Chapaleufú, next Sunday, November 29th in the second match of the Argentine Polo Open.
