Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver Celebrates City's Cultural Heritage with Catered Chinese New Year Celebrations

Chinese New Year falls on February 8, 2016 and marks the Year of the Red Monkey. With a rich Chinese history and nearly 20 percent or 500,000 citizens of Chinese heritage, Vancouver lauds Chinese New Year in a large, delicious fashion and the Catering team at Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver has created two unique packages to help social and corporate groups celebrate – either onsite or offsite.

The Lotus package provides a luxury Chinese New Year cocktail reception in a ballroom or function space at Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver, and includes a two-hour open deluxe bar, canapés ranging from Peking duck crepe rolls to vegetarian springs with vanilla chili sauce, and details such as hot towel service. Package pricing begins at CAD 80 per person for more than 100 guests and enhancements such as Asian décor, lion dancers, Chinese orchestra, calligrapher and noodle puller can be provided at additional cost.

With the Chrysanthemum package, Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver brings the celebration to the guests’ venue of choice. Offering all of the above experiences and enhancements, package pricing begins at CAD 100 per person for more than 100 guests.

Vancouver is not only one of the most exciting global destinations in which to celebrate Chinese New Year, but the city is renowned for its culinary excellence and Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver is the only property in Greater Vancouver to have a custom-designed Chinese Kitchen. Paired with the Hotel’s legendary service, the Chinese Kitchen proudly delivers a modern interpretation of traditional Chinese celebratory cuisine and all the elements necessary to create an unforgettable Chinese New Year celebration or dining experience.
