New products and technologies with a low environmental impact, no less than four Italian previews
The countdown’s started for the 2015 edition of H2R-MFS in the huge Ecomondo showcase (at Rimini Fiera from 3rd to 6th November 2015). This year, in the expo zone round the Central Foyer, visitors will again be able to admire the latest new developments and advanced technologies with low environmental impact offered by H2R’s Partners:
BOSCH (with the most innovative Bosch Compact solutions for safe mobility, on the road to automated driving: driver assistance systems for taking evasive action, turning against on-coming traffic and traffic jams), BMW (with electric proposals and a hybrid plug-in preview) Ford (with a hybrid proposal), Landi Renzo (with a dual-fuel diesel/methane proposal), Lexus (with hybrid technology), Nissan (with an Italian electric preview), Toyota (with two Italian hydrogen previews with fuel cells and hybrid technology), CNR, CARe (Center for Automotive Research and evolution), ENEA.
H2R/Ecomondo confirms its role as the only National Expo at which it is possible to admire and test all car technologies addressing a zero-emission future: electric and hydrogen fuel cell, as well as hybrid, hybrid plug-in and diesel dual fuel (diesel-methane) with low environmental impact. The uniqueness of the expo, is that, while it is open to visitors, is possible to have real on-road tests of these new technologies, following accreditation in the outdoor test drive area adjacent to Rimini Fiera railway station - at the south entrance - with the assistance of Instructors from the DRIVEVENT driving school (for the hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai, accreditation procedure will be carried out at the manufacturer’s stand in the Central Foyer at Rimini Fiera).
More in detail: BMW isoffering the BMW i8 on static display, whereas in the test drives is proposing an Italian preview of the BMW X5 XDRIVE40E, a Sports Activity Vehicle, plug-in hybrid with permanent 4WD and BMW Efficient Dynamics eDrive technology for mobility that is efficient and, if necessary, exclusively electric, with the BMW i3, the brand’s first exclusively electric model; (following last year’s static display, Ford is bringing to Rimini the Mondeo Hybrid, the manufacturer’s first European hybrid car equipped with a 1.4 kW/h electric engine and 2.0l petrol engine, this year also available for test drives; Landi Renzo is offering test drives of a model equipped with a Landirenzo Diesel Dual Fuel injection system which converts engines from diesel-only running into engines that run on a mixture of diesel and methane, without any mechanical modification; LexusNX Hybrid, the innovative futuristic technological #suv will be on static display and available for testing in the F Sport version; Nissan is giving an Italian preview of the Leaf MY 2016 (30 kWh), the world’s top-selling 100% electric vehicle, alongside the 24kWh Leaf MY 15 available for test drives; Toyota isbringing two previews to H2R 2015. The new Nuova Prius, “The New Mobility Icon“, on show for the first time in Italy, is the fourth generation of Prius to set new reference points on emission and efficiency issues from Toyota; in the test drives, alongside the Auris Touring Sports Hybrd, fitted with the best active safety technologies (Toyota Safety Sense), Toyota is proposing the Mirai, the first hydrogen-powered fuel cell saloon car, on test for the first time at an Italian expo. The Toyota Fuel Cell System (TFCS) uses fuel cells and hybrid technology, fed by hydrogen: it does not produce CO2 or pollutant agents, but only emits water vapour.
H2R 2015 will be a Zero Impact® event . CO2 emissions have been offset by the creation and protection of forest areas in Developing Countries.
