UKIYOE, the Japanese art of print at Spazio 74\b in Milan

Spazio 74\b presents for the first time at the Milan public the research work of the Adachi Institute to preserve the ancient process of realization of ukiyoe, keeping alive this technique and preparing new artists able to carry on the tradition, bringing back to life the original drawings of the great masters.
The power of fascination of Japanese prints outside of Japan has not ceased to exist. Yet it's been a while since European artists avidly collected the masterpieces of this extraordinary art and sometimes even quoted it in their paintings. It was part of their lives, it was something to be treasured, cue to broaden their technical horizons, their worldview.
