The Art Gallery FORMA PRIMA will open in Pavia with Grace and Chaos, a solo exhibition featuring Ryan Spring Dooley

The Art Gallery FORMA PRIMA will open on Saturday 24th in Pavia at 6 pm with Grace and Chaos, a solo exhibition featuring the American artist Ryan Spring Dooley. This exhibition will inaugurate Forma Prima, an art gallery focused on contemporary art, curated by Giulia Marinoni Marabelli.
During the vernissage, the artist will perform a live painting.
Born in Wisconsin in 1977, Dooley, after graduating at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Minneapolis, starts travelling around the world and arrives in Pavia, with his passion for Street art and saxophone.
A complete artist, Dooley follows a compound path that includes painting and music. From his beginning as a Street artist also known as Marvin Crushler, Dooley develops a very personal style thanks to his attitude towards experimentation and a free association of painting techniques.
Ryan loves to paint on canvas, walls and any other material with different means. He makes videos by assembling the figures he paints, he is a music composer, playing it with his band. He likes drawing cartoons and writing texts. Grace and Chaos is a non conventional anthological exhibition, focused on representing the artistic career of a painter who has reached a well balanced and necessary merging between art and life.

The exhibition will be open from October, 24th, 2015 to January, 17th, 2016
(Hours: Tuesday and Friday 5 pm-8 pm, Thursday 9 pm-12 pm and by appointment).

The Art Gallery, FORMA PRIMA, aims, first of all, to create a meeting place for whoever is fond of art and culture. The idea behind is simple: organising art events to make people approach contemporary art more easily.

FORMA PRIMA has been conceived by Giulia Marinoni Marabelli, who has always been truly interested in art and is graduated in Art history.
FORMA PRIMA will not be a “trendy” gallery and will not be only confined to show some artists and to follow them in their monographic paths, but it will build up projects and ideas. Beside the so called emerging artists, there will be also the works of art of more experienced artists, with the aim of exploring the territory, as well as remote geographical areas, and to promote memory.
FORMA PRIMA is also conceived as a virtual space: the aim is to achieve the circulation of art outside the country, therefore there will be a cooperation with other international galleries. Beside the exhibitions there will be a schedule of meetings and events on art.
