Cardiff, 12th October 2015: French legend #oliviermagne and Irish legend Conor O'Shea give their post-match thoughts after Ireland defeated France 24-9 to top Pool D and reach the Quarter Finals at #rugby World Cup 2015.
The Director of #rugby at Harlequins R.F.C. O’ Shea commented: “It was an incredible atmosphere to have been part of and I think Ireland dominated the whole game. They dominated the collision area with an incredible intensity and when the substitutes came on they raised the game if anything.
“It is gutting to think that Jonny Sexton, Paul O’Connell and Peter O’Mahony could be out of the Tournament as they are massive blows. However, Iain Henderson and Ian Madigan were magnificent when they came on the pitch and it was just a very special occasion for the Irish.”
Former French forward Magne commented:“It was a good game but Ireland deserved their victory at the Millennium Stadium. Even though France did not play at their best, I think they will go on to win #rugby World Cup 2015.”
