  • Guest driver from India on the Nürburgring grid

  • Jan Kisiel from Poland travels to Eifel circuit as overall leader

Ingolstadt, September 22, 2015 – The #audi Sport #tt Cup is starting to approach its first season finale. On September 26 and 27, the Nürburgring will be hosting the fifth of six race weekends in the inaugural season of the one-make cup. As part of the DTM’s supporting program the permanent entrants will again be battling for important championship points. In the guest drivers’ classification, the field will feature international entrants this time.

Following the race weekend at Oschersleben, the #audi Sport #tt Cup is traveling from the region around Magdeburg to the Eifel. “After the #audi Sport customer #racing team has clinched an impressive victory on the Nordschleife with the new R8 LMS, we are now very much looking forward to the youngsters visiting the Grand Prix circuit. There is a really special enthusiasm for motorsport at this venue,” says Project Leader Rolf Michl. “In the battle for the Championship, we’re again expecting to see gripping duels. After the tremendous races at Oschersleben, we’d like to show the spectators fantastic motorsport again with an attractive field.”

A special focus will once more be on the duels of the guest entrants. Matthias Malmedie (D) and Niki Schelle (D), the two presenters of the TV car program ‘GRIP,’ will be meeting with their longtime colleague Doreen Seidel (D). Another entry is Aditya Patel (IND). The pro is contesting the #audi R8 LMS Cup this season and has previously raced at the Nürburgring as well. His track record includes a 2012 class victory in an #audi #tt in the 24-hour race in the Eifel.

In the race for the championship, overall leader Jan Kisiel (PL) will leave no stone unturned to defend his top spot. At Oschersleben, the 21-year-old won both rounds and, with 149 points to his tally, grabbed the lead from Nicolaj Møller Madsen (DK, 140 points). Dennis Marschall (D, 121.5) is trailing them in third place. The guest entrants in the #audi Sport #tt Cup are not awarded any points.
