Rüsselsheim. Spectators and participants are already looking forward to the 23rd Hessen-Thüringen classic car #rally, which will take place from June 15 to 17. #opel will be among the starters with some memorable cars from its 155 years of tradition. Station wagons with ample space and a high level of versatility have always been typical for the #opel brand and thus the Rüsselsheim-based carmaker will participate with a fleet of roomy vintage cars. #opel brand ambassador and 1999 Le Mans winner Joachim Winkelhock will lead the way in a Rekord C. He will be followed by a Rekord P2 Car-A-Van, an ADAC road patrol service Kadett D, a Commodore C ambulance and a Rekord E belonging to the fire department. The vintage #opel station wagons will be escorted by the brand new Insignia Sports Tourer, which will celebrate its German dealership debut on June 24. The first stage will start and end in the Hessian town of Marburg where a beautiful 1937 #opel Super 6 Gläser will be on display and certainly attract a lot of attention. The convertible will be in the capable hands of #opel Vice President Sales & Aftersales Peter Küspert on Saturday. In addition, #opel will also participate with two further forebears of its current Cascada convertible – a Rekord A and a 1976 Rekord C.
