Elfyn Evans (1st) said: “It’s been a really good morning for us – and my best ever start to an event. It hasn’t been 100 percent perfect, but we’ve got a good package and everything’s clearly working well. It’s certainly a good confidence boost and we’ll try to keep it up this afternoon. “But it is going to be tough out there on the second pass. We’ll need to find the balance between pushing and looking after everything. Even this morning we saw quite a few rocks pulled out by the time we got there, so for sure it’s going to be a tricky afternoon.”
