Burgess expands into the Middle East

Burgess is delighted to announce its expansion into the Middle East with the imminent opening of #burgess in Dubai.

This new outfit will form part of the well-established SJM Group of Companies falling within the Maritime and Related Services sector. #burgess has been formally invited by a member of the ruling family to begin operations in line with his plans for maritime expansion within the GCC.

This initiative is the organic evolution of the company’s commitment to serving and developing the region’s #superyacht industry. With an already impressive portfolio of Middle Eastern clients, #burgess is delighted to help strengthen and grow this emerging market. The plan is to build a core of superyacht expertise for the Gulf providing services to clients from the UAE and wider region by combining the experience of a local team with the skills of existing staff as required.

Spearheading the office is British citizen and Dubai resident Jonathan Hind, who joins the company following four years spent as general manager of the Dubai Marina #yacht Club, the largest marina in the Middle East, where he was responsible for every aspect of its operation and development. With a deep and broad experience to hand and extensive network in Dubai, Jonathan is ideally suited to head up Burgess’ new Dubai operation and forms a key part of the global team. “We are honoured to be collaborating with SJM Group towards our shared objective of evolving the maritime sector in the Gulf and are very enthusiastic about the potential this exciting region holds for the #superyacht industry,” adds Jonathan. 

To coincide with this announcement, the spectacular 77 metre (252.6ft) long range superyacht SILVER FAST represented by #burgess as Central Agents for sale and charter is currently located in the Gulf for client viewings. With her distinctive super-sleek exterior styling by Espen Øino and metallic silver livery, the vessel is the world’s largest and fastest aluminium motor #yacht with conventional propulsion. #silverfast is available for charter in the Gulf region and the Maldives from USD 650,000 per week and her asking price is EUR 79,500,000.
