America’s #auto industry is back!

Last year, vehicle production doubled while car and trucks sales in the U.S. hit an all-time high. The Energy Department helped support this resurgence -- and create over 35,000 jobs -- by providing critical funding for advanced vehicle manufacturing and by driving important research and development that revved up fuel efficiency and sparked new technologies for electric vehicles.

The future of America’s #auto industry was on display today at the #washingtonautoshow, where Energy Secretary #ernestmoniz announced funding to advance the next generation of fuel-efficient vehicle technologies and a new report highlighting how the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing program is fueling economic growth in the United States.
