Press release available only in Italian

For the first time to the public, the Biblioteca Ambrosiana opens its vaults to present 12 scrolls dating from the Ninth and the Twelfth century, which have as their object the landscapes and waterways of Lombardy.
The exhibition offers a fascinating journey from the Adda to the Lambro, from the Ticino to the Po, able to tell the daily life of the Lombardy region in the Middle Ages.
Among the masterpieces on display, a document with the original monogram of Frederick Barbarossa, a papal bull of Pope Alexander III, as well as important archaeological finds.
